Sleeping well in the hottest months of the year is not easy, in today’s post we are going to talk about tips to sleep better in summer. What happens in summer? The days are longer and temperatures rise, sometimes we spend an excessive heat that does not allow us to have a restful rest. Some tips to sleep better in summer are:
- Napping: Napping is fine, but only for a short time, 15-20 minutes, otherwise it will disrupt the night sleep cycle.
- Food: Try to have a light and healthy dinner such as a salad or fruit. Also, if we can have dinner about 2 hours before going to sleep, so much the better.
- Technology: cell phones, tablets, etc. all out… we are looking forward to the summer vacations all year long but we are unable to disconnect, it is a good time to forget about the smartphone and thus favor the reconciliation of sleep.
- Sports: Do not train or perform physical activities at night, as our body temperature increases.
- Bedroom: Ventilate the room in the hours before going to sleep and let the bad smells go away, it will always be cooler, we can also turn on the air conditioning a little before going to bed.
- Air conditioning: Turn it off during the night, we can wake up with a sore throat or even lumbago. Nobody likes to get sick and even less during vacations.
- Bed linen: We should use light sheets, for example, cotton, natural fiber or silk.
