Today we bring some tips to sleep well in winter.⠀⠀⠀We are immersed in full cold wave with historical temperatures in some points of the geography, for this reason it is important to follow several recommendations to have a good rest.⠀ If we want to sleep at night, we must know that cold is easier to control than heat. Cold mainly affects the phase in which REM sleep occurs. The REM phase (Rapid Eye Movement) its meaning Rapid Eye Movement, is one in which there is a high brain activity, being able to make rapid and constant eye movements. In the case that we are in a cold place during a short period of time, the cold affects during the REM phase. On the contrary, if there is cold for a long time, sleep adapts. The lower the temperature, the shorter the duration of the REM phase. Some tips for sleeping in cold weather: – Exercise lightly before going to bed to increase your body temperature. – Turn off the heating a while before going to bed so that the heat does not interrupt your rest.
