In Naturalia & Poligón we are professionals in rest equipment, articles such as mattresses, bed bases, folding bases, headboards, pillows, mattresses for babies, etc.
In the case of mattress manufacture, we work with different materials that must pass a series of tests to obtain several certificates, each of them complies with the OEKO-TEX® certification.
What is the OEKO-TEX® certificate?
The STANDARD 100 OEKO-TEX® certification is a globally recognised eco-label for textiles, which verifies that there are no substances harmful to health in textile products or in their manufacturing phases.
Specifically, in the tests carried out for the OEKO-TEX certificate, substances or chemical products that are known to be harmful to health are analysed, as well as others that are prohibited or regulated by law.
The certificate was the result of a development process between the Austrian Österreichische Textil-Forschungsinstitut and the German Forschungsinstitut Hohenstein, both of which developed Oeko-Tex® Standard 100.
Since 1992, when it came into force, OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 has been carrying out scientifically based tests and testing methods.
Consumers
If we put ourselves on the consumer’s side, for example by buying a mattress, we have the peace of mind that OEKO-TEX certificate gives us a high and effective security thanks to its years of experience, guaranteeing us that it is free of harmful substances.
The standars and measures to which the mattress materials are subjected exceed international standards, as many components are examined in order to obtain this type of certificate.
