In today&#8217;s post we are going to explain some pros and cons of sleeping with our pet. For example, dogs love to sleep with their owners, the same happens with the smallest of the house, children prefer to have their big friend next to them. There are different <strong>advantages and disadvantages of sleeping with a pet<\/strong>, especially if you have health problems.<\/p>\n<p>\u2800\u2800\u2800<\/p>\n<p><strong>Advantages of sleeping with a dog.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>It offers security to children<\/strong>. The smallest of the house feel very protected and sleep better with their pets. In addition, if they are afraid of the dark and we let them sleep with their dog, it is beneficial for their health.  <\/li>\n<li><strong>It decreases anxiety and stress<\/strong>. If we share a room with a dog we will see increased levels of oxytocin, that is, the hormone that reduces stress. The production of cortisol, the hormone that produces anxiety, decreases.  <\/li>\n<li><strong>Increases well-being<\/strong>. The affection that a pet gives us allows us to forget all kinds of worries, making it easier to fall asleep. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Therapeutic effect.  <\/strong>People suffering from depression and anxiety can sleep better with the company of their pet. The company of a dog can bring more than we think in cases like this. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Strengthens the immune system<\/strong>. Studies have shown that children who are in constant contact with dogs are less prone to some diseases. Among the conditions they can avoid are respiratory allergies and asthma.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u2800\u2800\u2800<\/p>\n<p><strong>Disadvantages of sleeping with a dog.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The dog can mark its territory.  <\/strong>If a dog gets used to sleeping in a specific place, it is difficult to get rid of this habit. The dog may take over the bed, urinating, chewing on the bedding, etc. Similarly, he may think he has the situation under control every time you give in and end up opening the door for him.  <\/li>\n<li><strong>More hygiene is needed<\/strong> Dogs spend a lot of time on the street accumulating bacteria, plus they shed a lot of hair, which means you will need to change the sheets or comforter more frequently, air the <a href=\"https:\/\/poligon.es\/los-mejores-colchones-del-mercado\/\">mattress<\/a>, etc.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sleep may be disturbed<\/strong>.
