Cold mainly affects the phase in which REM sleep occurs. The <strong>REM phase (<span class=\"ILfuVd\" lang=\"es\"><span class=\"hgKElc\">Rapid Eye Movement<\/span><\/span>)<\/strong> its meaning Rapid Eye Movement, is one in which there is a high brain activity, being able to make rapid and constant eye movements. In the case that we are in a cold place during a short period of time, the cold affects during the REM phase. On the contrary, if there is cold for a long time, sleep adapts. The lower the temperature, the shorter the duration of the REM phase. Some tips for sleeping in cold weather: &#8211; Exercise <strong>lightly<\/strong> before going to bed to increase your body temperature. &#8211; Turn off the <strong>heating<\/strong> a while before going to bed so that the heat does not interrupt your rest.
